On Saturday, July 25, the Nantucket community gathered at Jetties Beach for the 14th annual Swim Across America Nantucket. Swimmers, volunteers, families, and supporters came together for a meaningful morning dedicated to cancer care, research, and patient support.
Under sunny skies, participants completed the Kids’ Splash and several open-water courses while spectators cheered from the beach. Together, the community raised an incredible $935,000 to benefit Nantucket Cottage Hospital, Palliative and Supportive Care of Nantucket, and oncology research.
One of the morning’s most moving moments came during the “Why I Swim” presentation, when island residents Lucy Cobb and Ron Lynch shared Ron’s cancer journey and the wonderful news that he is now in remission.
Fisher Real Estate was proud to once again support this inspiring event and celebrate the swimmers, volunteers, donors, and organizers who continue to make waves in the fight against cancer. Explore a few highlights from the morning in the photo gallery below.
