Celebrate Fall at NCF’s Fall Festival & Batacular Bike Race
One of Nantucket’s favorite fall traditions returns this October! The Nantucket Conservation Foundation’s Fall Festival and 5th Annual Batacular Bike Race will take place on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the historic Milestone cranberry bogs at 220 Milestone Road.
From an off-road bike race through the Middle Moors to live music, hayrides and family-friendly activities, the annual event offers a fun way to enjoy Nantucket’s protected open spaces during the fall season.
Fall Festival Fun
The free, family-friendly Fall Festival will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Historic Milestone Cranberry Bog, bringing the community together for an afternoon inspired by Nantucket’s fall traditions and the island’s historic connection to cranberry farming.
Throughout the day, families can enjoy hayrides, pumpkin painting, face painting, a native plant craft, NCF cranberry sales, local food trucks, and more. Lizza from Nanpuppets will perform at 11:00 a.m., followed by live music from Buckle and Shake from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
With activities for all ages and the scenic cranberry bogs as a backdrop, the festival is a great way to spend a fall Sunday outdoors while learning more about Nantucket’s protected lands and local traditions.
5th Annual Batacular Bike Race
The day gets an early start with NCF’s 5th Annual Batacular Bike Race at 9:00 a.m.
Beginning and ending at 220 Milestone Road, the course takes cyclists through the scenic trails of NCF’s Middle Moors. Riders can choose between a single 8.4-mile loop or a more challenging 16.8-mile double loop.
The course offers riders a unique way to experience Nantucket’s conservation land, traveling along sandy roads, winding trails and sections of the island’s Middle Moors.
All registered race participants will also receive a complimentary long-sleeve hooded Batacular bike shirt.
