Festival of Wreaths 2026: New Location and Extended Dates
The Nantucket Historical Association’s beloved Festival of Wreaths returns for its 28th year with a new location and an extended schedule. This year, the annual holiday tradition will take place at the historic Macy Warehouse at 12 Straight Wharf, giving visitors a unique opportunity to experience the second floor of the historic building while celebrating the creativity of the Nantucket community.
The Festival of Wreaths will be open to the public from Tuesday, November 24 through Saturday, December 5, 2026. For the first time, the festival will span nearly two weeks and continue through Nantucket’s Christmas Stroll Weekend. Admission to the festival is free.
Each year, island residents, local businesses, nonprofits, schools, and community organizations create an impressive collection of handcrafted wreaths. Designs range from traditional holiday greenery to imaginative and unconventional creations, all showcasing the creativity and holiday spirit of Nantucket.
Visitors can enjoy the wreaths in person throughout the festival, while online bidding will also be available for those hoping to take home a favorite design.
Festival of Wreaths Preview Party
The festivities begin with an exclusive Preview Party on Monday, November 23, from 5–7 p.m., offering guests an early look at this year’s wreaths before the festival opens to the public. Preview Party tickets go on sale Wednesday, October 7.
The Festival of Wreaths will also overlap with the opening of the NHA’s Festival of Trees at the Whaling Museum on December 4, making Christmas Stroll Weekend an especially festive time to experience both holiday traditions.
