Lucky for all the foodies on Nantucket, we get to celebrate Nantucket Restaurant Week twice a year. This year Fall Restaurant Week will take place from September 30th-October 6th. Each restaurant offers a unique menu, but expect to find three to five course meals ranging from $25 to $50. Some restaurants offer their regular menu (like Dune and Straight Wharf) and others offer a custom, seasonal menu for the week. Reservations are highly recommended during Nantucket Restaurant Week.

These restaurants will be participating in 2019:

The Beet
Black-Eyed Susan’s

Without further ado, here are Fisher Real Estate’s favorite restaurants to dine at during Nantucket Restaurant Week.

Danno Lynch, Sales and Rental Agent

Favorite Restaurant: Straight Wharf

6 Harbor Square, Nantucket, MA, 1-508-228-4499

Favorite Dish: The famous SWR Clam Bake

Danno says, “For over 40 years Straight Wharf Restaurant has offered an incredible dining experience. From the food to the staff, the restaurant checks off every box for an amazing night. What’s great about SWR in the fall is the light that comes off the water from the back deck overlooking the harbor. Nantucket is known for its beautiful sunsets and there is nothing better than having a sunset dinner on the early side. The exposed antique wood ceiling, and cedar-shingled walls grab the light from all angles and makes the restaurant glow. Be sure to try the famous SWR Clam Bake as an entree. A must stop during restaurant week.”

Lara Hanson, Sales and Rental Agent

Favorite Restaurant: Dune Restaurant

20 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA, 1-508-228-5550

Favorite Dish: Pan Roasted Atlantic Halibut (Thai-inspired, my favorite!)

Lara says, “With a vegetable-forward menu that focuses on using produce harvested from the island’s farms as well as locally caught seafood, Dune welcomes you to try selections from their entire menu during Restaurant Week. Dine al fresco on the quaint patio in the warmer months, or cozy up in the comfortable-yet-chic dining room on a chilly night to savor one of Dune’s delicious and strikingly beautiful dishes. Don’t forget to try one of their creative craft cocktails from their ever-popular bartenders!”

Erin Wilson, Sales and Rental Agent

Favorite Restaurant: Ships Inn

13 Fair Street, Nantucket, MA, 1-508-228-0040

Favorite Dish: Caesar Salad & Filet Mignon

Erin says, “Why do I love it? The ambiance! Tucked away from Main Street and located in a whaling captain’s mansion built in 1831, the setting is so charming and classic. Make a reservation! For restaurant week, they offer a range of options for the first course and main dishes.”

Liza Hatton, Sales and Rental Agent

Favorite Restaurant: The Languedoc Bistro

24 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA, 1-508-228-2252

Favorite Dish: The Pan Roasted Lobster

Liza says, “The Languedoc is my favorite place on Nantucket for a delicious french meal. Their restaurant has two levels – the bistro downstairs which is more causal and has a bar, and the formal dining room is found on the second floor. Their pan roasted lobster is to die for! They take the lobster meat out of the shell, pan roast it and then stuff it back in the shell and serve it over polenta with asparagus. Every bite melts in your mouth! For dessert, the chocolate pot de creme or the Sweet Inspirations Sundae is the perfect finish to your meal. You can’t go wrong ordering anything at this restaurant and the service is always impeccable!”

Jen Shalley Allen, Principal Broker

Favorite Restaurant: Ventuno Restaurant

21 Federal Street, Nantucket, MA, 1-508-228-4242

Favorite Dish: So hard to choose just one. If you’re in the mood for pasta then the Strozzapretti is the way to go. This is a homemade pasta with spicy chicken sausage, broccoli rabe and pecorino. Delish! If you’re not feeling like eating pasta, I’d venture to their fresh fish of the day or their chicken dish which always has a fresh prep. Alternatively, you could make a meal out of their first courses like the meatballs, kale caesar and maybe a small portion of the pasta.

Jen says, “Ventuno is often my first choice for a Nantucket restaurant as the menu offers so many varied choices and it’s a great value given the quality and portions. The ambiance is fabulous and offers the opportunity to sit outside on the back patio in great summer weather, or inside in the various dining rooms. I often vote to sit at the bar with the famous Johnny B — he always remembers your name. If for some reason he doesn’t, he will certainly remember what you’re drinking.”

Gina O’Callaghan, Sales and Rental Agent

Favorite Restaurant: The Proprietor’s Bar & Table

9 India Street, Nantucket, MA, 1-508-228-7477

Favorite Dish: Crispy Broccoli

Gina says, “There is a little bit of something for everyone at my favorite restaurant on Nantucket, which many call ‘Prop’s’ for short.  Delicious and creative shareable dishes make it perfect for a small group of friends or date night. Along with their excellent cocktail menu, you can’t go wrong!”

Brent Tartamella, Sales and Rental Agent

Favorite Restaurant: Black-Eyed Susan’s

10 India Stree, Nantucket, MA, 1-508-325-0308

Favorite Dish: Pancakes

Brent says, “Black-Eyed Susan’s – nothing better than a great morning workout followed by a bike ride down to the famous BlackEyed Susans. The benefit to the workout first is that you miss the lines and can slide right into an outdoor table on the patio – there’s comfort in knowing some things never change……the kids order one of the best pancakes in town (rivaled only by the younger generation Fog Island Happy Face Pancakes) balanced by some carb loading chocolate milk while the others order the perfectly awesome scrambles! Never ever dissapoints!!”

Gaelan Truyman, Marketing Manager

Favorite Restaurant: The Club Car

1 Main Street, Nantucket, MA, 1-508-228-1101

Favorite Dishes: Roasted Cauliflower and Blistered Broad and String Beans

Gaelan says, “Like the Nautilus, Gaslight and Proprietors, the tapas-style menu at The Club Car is meant to be shared. The small plates include many vegetarian and pescatarian options. Meat-lovers don’t need to fret, they have a few large sized entrees including the popular Za’atar Roasted Half Chicken. Last summer I did the Chef’s menu a couple times and it is an incredible amount of food!”
