The 11th Annual Nantucket Half Marathon and 10k will be held on Sunday, October 9th, 2022 at 8 am. The race is on a new course for 2022 and will start and finish at Bartlett’s Farm.
Racecourse:
The new race course is through the Nantucket Land Bank’s Smooth Hummocks Coastal Preserve.
This race is one of the most scenic Half Marathon courses on the East Coast! Set on charming Nantucket Island, the route travels through sandy beach roads with incredible ocean views, bike paths, and lightly traveled neighborhood streets. Approximately 60% of the course is on dirt roads with a few sandy sections that can be challenging but it’s pancake flat. The new course for 2022 begins and ends at Bartlett’s Farm and features the globally-rare sandplain grassland ecosystem of the Nantucket Land Bank’s Smooth Hummocks Coastal Preserve.
The race begins and ends at Bartlett’s Farm. The course will be very well marked and volunteers and/or Nantucket Police will be stationed at every intersection and street crossing.
