NANTUCKET TURKEY PLUNGE 2026
One of Nantucket’s favorite Thanksgiving traditions returns this November as the Nantucket Atheneum Cold Turkey Plunge marks its 25th year. On Thursday, November 26, 2026, participants will gather at Children’s Beach to brave the chilly waters of Nantucket Harbor, all while raising funds for the Weezie Library for Children. The plunge begins at 10:00 a.m.
Freezin’ for a Reason
Funds raised through the Turkey Plunge help the Weezie Library provide free, year-round programs, services, and materials for children and families. Plungers can participate individually, create or join a team, and encourage friends and family to support their fundraising efforts.
Can’t make it to Nantucket for Thanksgiving? Participants can also Plunge Day Your Way from afar during Thanksgiving week, whether that means an ice bucket, sprinkler, or another creative outdoor plunge.
