“After four consecutive months of double-digit increases from 2024 data, preliminary May transaction data points to a similar number of property sales from one year ago but a 21 percent decline in volume. This is due to lower dollar volume sales in May 2025 compared to May 2024, particularly in the $4 million to $6 million segment. Nonetheless, due to the strength in the first part of the year, YTD sales remain 49 percent higher on a transaction basis and 32 percent on a dollar volume basis. New contract activity declined by three contracts from April but wasn’t too shabby considering the stock market volatility during the same period. New listing inventory increased by nearly 52 properties but remained almost the same as one year ago, based on the pace of sales. Stay tuned for our full May report.” Jennifer Shalley Allen
