February 2026 Market Snapshot

”Two months into 2026, the Nantucket Real Estate market has had a slower start than one year ago, with both sales and transaction volume down more than 30 percent.

The northeast has not been the most welcoming place to visit due to an exceptionally cold and snowy winter. While the weather could be partly to blame, significantly lower inventory certainly isn’t helping, resulting in only eight new recorded contracts during the month of February.

With new global turmoil, March may not prove to be any better, but we will certainly keep an eye on things, so stay tuned for our upcoming market reports…” Jennifer Shalley Allen
