“The fourth quarter of 2022 is off to a robust start with $201 million in total October sales through 47 transactions. This marked an effective tie for the highest monthly dollar volume of the year (similar to April sales) and a very solid performance compared to similar monthly periods prior to the 2020 & 2021 timeframe.
Monthly sales were led by the waterfront sale of 63 & 63.5 Hulbert Avenue for $33 million, which represented the second highest sale of the year thus far and a record price for a Hulbert Avenue property.
New purchase activity saw its first notable slowdown with just 28 contracts compared to 43 in September. New property inventory also declined quite substantially from previous months, as did price reduction activity. We’ll dive into more details in our full October report…” Jennifer Shalley Allen
