“For the first time this year, monthly sales and transaction volume not only exceeded levels from one year ago but were markedly higher than August ’22 figures. August transactions brought year-to-date totals to $616 million through 171 property sales, a decline of 27 percent and 24 percent from last year. Despite the decline, nearly 30 percent of transactions occurred at full or above full asking price and only one sale took place for less than 90 percent of the original asking price. The full price activity is nearly identical to the percentage from last month and shows that buyer demand continues to be strong amidst limited supply and even with current mortgage rates.
