“While the Nantucket Real Estate market inched ever closer to the $1 billion mark in October, it was 31 percent lower in dollar volume than during the same time one year ago. And nearly every metric continues to show that the pace and strength of the market is waning in comparison to the record years of 2021 & 2022. Typically, the fourth quarter is the strongest (if not second strongest) quarter of the year. And that may well be the case for 2023 with $170M marking the second highest monthly dollar volume YTD, but it will likely not come close to reaching the $500M-$870M we’ve seen during the last few years.
