“June sales capped off what has been an exceptional first half of the year. All told, there were 63 monthly transactions totaling $160 million, bringing year to date results to 340 real estate transactions measuring $880 million.  This dollar volume is more than double what we historically see at this point in the calendar year and is also more than the total annual volume for some previous years. So, the billion-dollar question is where do we go from here?  Are we on track to surpass the $1.85 billion we saw in 2021? Based on continued activity in new contracts, particularly at the upper end of the market, I suspect we are likely along a similar trajectory. But the market also seems to have settled into a less frenetic pace than what we saw earlier this spring, so we’ll have to gauge what the peak months of July & August bring in terms of new purchase activity before making a formal prediction.  Stay tuned for our full June report!” Jennifer Shalley Allen
