Fisher’s July 4th 2025 Must-Dos on Nantucket
Celebrate Independence Day the Nantucket way with our favorite July 4th traditions! The water competition between the Nantucket Fire Department and the Boynton Lane Reserves has been canceled this year. There is still plenty to do on the Island! Here’s how to make the most of the holiday:
★ Kick off the morning by shopping in town, eating at the food trucks and walking the streets of the Sustainable Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market from 8:30am to 12:30pm
★ Touch-a-Truck is ON at 10:30! Meet the Fire, Police, and EMT crews on Main Street. Climb aboard, take photos, and thank our hometown heroes!
★ Don’t miss Lizza’s beloved Nanpuppets show at Children’s Beach at 10:30 AM — a must for families with little ones.
★ In the afternoon, head to the beach by foot, bike, or hop on the free NRTA shuttle — it’s the easiest way to avoid parking headaches.
★ Keep your furry friends safe and secure at home, especially with fireworks on the horizon.
★ Stock up on grilling essentials early by shopping during off-peak hours.
★ End the day under the stars, enjoying the fireworks with your loved ones.
