Exciting news to come out of Nantucket this winter is that the new Miacomet Golf Course Club House is now open and operational. After a fire destroyed the old Club House in 2017, the Nantucket Land Bank worked tirelessly to construct a brand-new building while still keeping the course open. While there are some finishing touches that need to be done including dining room furniture and exterior landscaping, the bar is currently open, and food is being served.
The restaurant has always been a bit of a local secret gem and with the brand-new expansive kitchen the food is even better! Chef Karen Thureson has created a flavorful light bite and lunch menu. We are anxious for the full restaurant to be open in coming months. As the finishing touches come together this spring, we should tip our hat’s to Alan Costa and his team’s efforts to make the transition to the new era of the club as seamless as it has been.
