Hello local food lovers! The Pip & Anchor market is open at Amelia Drive and online at Pipandanchor.com.

We’re approaching mid-August and it’s primetime produce season. Pip & Anchor has got all of your seasonal and local produce needs for an easy summer picnic or cookout.

Here are five recipe/picnic ideas for this week…

1. Roasted Zucchini, a Thomas Keller Recipe

Making burgers on the beach? Or just on cast iron at home? This roasted miso zucchini is absolutely insane, and super easy. Just use any summer squash they have at Pip & Anchor and pickup some Rhapsody Natural white miso.

2. Grilled Shawarma BBQ Chicken Legs

You have to have the NY Shuk Shawarma BBQ as soon as possible. Just simply marinate Walden chicken leg quarters overnight. Let them come to room temp, put them on the grill on high heat to sear, then moved to a lower heat and give them time.

3. Grilled Corn & Tomato Salad

Grill some organic sweet corn, slice some cherry tomatoes in half, add some raw tropea onions, and toss it all in an easy to make pistachio pesto. You’ll enjoy the sweetness of summer without working hard.

4. Sausage, Peppers, & Onions

Take yourself to Yawkey Way and grill up some Walden sweet italian sausage, tropea onions, and poblano or cubanelle peppers. Peppers are in season and waiting to be enjoyed with the best sausages in all of the land. Walden pork is in it’s own elite class.

5. Charcuterie Boards

Let P&A help you choose a few meats and cheeses to delight your group. They have an amazing selection from New England and Eastern NY so come on in and let them help you.
