Tidy Up, Do Good, and Win Big for Nantucket!

Over the past five years, the incredible Nantucket community has come together to remove an impressive 43.5 tons of litter from the island. Just last year, 25 dedicated teams cleared out an astonishing 11 tons, illustrating the significant impact that can be achieved through collective effort—even with only a handful of teams participating.

This year, the organizers are inviting everyone to get involved, whether as part of a team, a business sponsor, or the remarkable group of volunteers that make the event a success. The Derby isn’t just about cleaning up litter; it’s about fostering community spirit, caring for the island, and having a fantastic time while doing so.

The 6th Annual Nantucket Litter Derby will take place on April 5-6, 2025.

Registrations are now open, and teams are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. Email nantucketlitterderby@gmail.com to register.

Teams can consist of as few as two people or as many as six, making it accessible for groups of all sizes.

Participation in the Derby is free, and the first prize remains a $1,000 cash reward—plus the satisfaction of contributing to a cleaner, more beautiful island.
