Visitors to Nantucket looking for a scenic and educational experience can now participate in the Farm and Field Bike Tour. This guided event celebrates the island’s rich agricultural history and thriving farm community, offering a unique opportunity to connect with the roots of sustainable farming.
The tour begins at 9:00 AM at Moor’s End Farm and wraps up around 1:30 PM at Bartlett’s Farm. Convenient transportation back to Moor’s End is provided by Sustainable Nantucket. Along the route, participants will enjoy exclusive, behind-the-scenes tours hosted by local farmers, with stops at Berry Patch Farm, My Grandfather’s Farm, and Sustainable Nantucket’s Mentor Farm and Farmstand. The experience concludes with a delightful lunch at Bartlett’s Farm, included as part of the tour.
Guests can bring their own bicycles or reserve one in advance, as bike rentals are available for the event. The tour will take place rain or shine, so participants are encouraged to come prepared with water, sunscreen, appropriate weather gear, and reusable bags.
