Participants can choose from a 5K, 10K, or scenic 2-mile walk through the Middle Moors, a beautiful landscape cared for by the Nantucket Conservation Foundation. Whether you are chasing a personal best, jogging with friends, or walking in support of conservation, the Race for Open Space is a memorable way to start a summer morning on Nantucket.

The event offers something for all ages and abilities:
The 10K begins at 8:00 AM, followed by the 2-mile walk at 8:05 AM and the 5K at 8:10 AM. With options for serious runners, casual joggers, walkers, and families, the race is designed to welcome anyone who wants to support Nantucket’s open spaces.
Race Logistics
Bib pickup will take place at 118 Cliff Road ahead of race day.
Thursday, June 25: Bib pickup begins at 4 PM.
Friday, June 26: Bib pickup from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Race Day, Saturday, June 27: Participants should arrive early and be ready for the first event to begin at 8:00 AM.
