Hello Nantucket Anglers,
Get ready for a summer highlight – the inaugural August Blues Nantucket Bluefish Tournament! This event, running from August 1st to 31st, puts the spotlight on Bluefish, our local powerhouse predators. This catch-and-release tournament is the perfect opportunity for seasoned Anglers and newcomers alike. Everyone stands a chance to win, even if your catch is just a single Bluefish. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the island, this event is all about bringing people together for some friendly competition and a great cause.
With divisions for beach, boat, and junior anglers, there’s a spot for everyone to get in on the action. Prizes span from Longest Bluefish (Gator Prize) and Smallest Bluefish (Snapper Prize). Also, there are prizes for the first Bonito and False Albacore caught in the month of August, and even a Unicorn Prize for a unique catch.
Participation is easy:
- $25 for tournament entry
- $50 for entry and a tournament T-shirt
- $100 for entry, a T-shirt, and an Island X lures package
- Juniors (17yrs and under) are automatically entered for free on submission of their first catch.
