A Safe Place is proud to bring educator, author and filmmaker, Jackson Katz, to the island this coming July 13, at Great Harbor Yacht Club.

Jackson is globally recognized for his work in gender violence prevention. He co-founded Mentor’s in Violence Prevention (MVP), an influential gender violence prevention program which is used in public and private sectors in sports teams and the military. Jackson is also a key architect of the “bystander” approach which is a broadly popular strategy used in both the sexual assault and relationship abuse fields.
