As you may be familiar, Nantucket Community Sailing (NCS) is an educational non-profit that provides affordable sailing and water sports access to the public. NCS is located at their Jetties Sailing Center. The program annually awards roughly $90,000 in sailing scholarships to local residents. NCS has estimated that nearly 1,000 students from on and off-island enroll in their sailing programs.

Registration opens for summer programming in late January and classes are available through the season. NCS offers one and two week-long programs at Polpis Harbor and Jetties Beach for youth ages 4 to 18. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or novice sailor, NCS has classes for all skill levels. NCS participants can enjoy many other activities besides sailing at their Jetties Sailing Center, located on Jetties Beach. The program offers kayak, SUP, and sailboat rentals. NCS also has an adult learn-to-sail Women’s Clinic, a Tiny Salts class for ages 2-3, and private sailing lessons.  You can book under the “Rentals” tab on their website: www.nantucketcommunitysailing.org, beginning June 1.

Nantucket Community Sailing opens for the season on Monday, June 27th and closes on Friday, August 19th. Jetties Sailing Center hours are Monday-Saturday 10:00am – 4:30pm.
