The Pearl

Every year, the island’s landscape of retailers and service businesses shifts — sometimes a little and sometimes a lot! Team Fisher has endeavored to capture as many changes for the 2023 season as possible to help you find and welcome the newcomers. We wish all of these businesses a wonderful and prosperous season!

New in Dining on Nantucket

black eyed susansBlack Eyed Susan’s  |  10 India Street

After a near a two-year hiatus, Black Eyed Susan’s is back open for fine dining in the evenings. Reopened by the owners of Proprietors, customers can expect fantastic menu by Chef Todd Edwards. They are accepting reservations for groups of 6 and under for all seatings 7 days in advance. For groups of 7 and 8, you can book online for their 8:45 seating only. They are still BYOB and now accept credit cards!

The Club Car  |  1 Main Street

Under new management by the team behind the Nantucket Tap Room at the Jared Coffin House, step into the Club Car to enjoy a newly reimagined space with the same lively piano bar and elevated New England cuisine. Open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am-3pm, and dinner 7 days a week from 5pm-10pm. The live piano begins at 9pm Thursday through Sunday.

The Corner Table  |  22 Federal St

Meanwhile at The Corner Table, there is a new team taking the reins from Greg and Joy Margolis. The group is composed of ReMain Ventures, Ventuno and Via Mare, and Mayumi Hattori and Chris Sleeper behind Pip & Anchor. Customers are enjoying a similar inside experience with a revamped food menu.


Ethos Wine Bar

Ethos Nantucket  |  18 Broad Street

Ethos Nantucket is a boutique wine bar highlighting wines from around the world, unique takes on classic cocktails, and a farm-to-table small plates menu. The team behind Ethos is Emily Dusseau, Gracie Schadt, and Zachary Hotter, all experienced sommeliers. As of June, Ethos is open Wednesday to Monday, 5pm – late, and closed on Tuesday. The Green Market

The Green Market   |  4 India St

The Green Market now offers in-store seating at their 4 India Street location. Stop in to enjoy fresh-made sandwiches, baked goods, salads, and artisanal snacks. Their grocery items are locally sourced from Nantucket and New England. They have cheese, crackers, and jams from Vermont, honey from Nantucket, produce from Fog Town Farm, vanilla from Great Barrington, just to name a few.

Handlebar Café  |  15 Washington Street

Hop into Handlebar Café to experience their newly renovated space. Enjoy craft lattes and snacks in ample indoor and outdoor seating that functions as a fantastic community space. They are open 7 days a week from 7am to 4pm. 

 


O bar yoshi nantucket

O Bar  |  7-8 Old South Wharf

Bar Yoshi has opened O Bar this summer, located directly across from the award-winning sushi restaurant. This new seaside retreat offers an all-day menu featuring raw bar items such as oysters, King Crab legs and clams, housemade smoked fish plates, caviar, lobster, seasonal cocktails and an extensive wine list. The focal point of the new space is an L-Shaped bar with seating for 10, looking directly at the north side of the marina and out onto Straight Wharf. Bar Yoshi and O Bar are open for all-day service, and share menus allowing guests at both locations to enjoy the specialized menus from each restaurant.

 


The Pearl

The Pearl & The Boarding House  |  12 Federal Street

After their sale in 2021, The Pearl and The Boarding House have returned this summer after renovations by Blue Flag Partners. Menus boast Japanese and French flavors, with noodle dishes, grilled meats, oysters, raw seafood, local produce, and seafood entrees. Classic Pearl dishes can be found like Lobster Rangoons, Heritage Pork Dumplings, Yellowfin Tuna Martini, Fluke Carpaccio, 60 Second Steak & Eggs, Salt & Pepper Wok Fried lobster, and Lemongrass & Cilantro Prime Beef.

PPX Pâtisserie  |  7 South Water St

Serving wedding cakes, pastries, dessert bars and other baked goods, PPX Pâtisserie is the island’s newest bakery spot. Stop in for delicious pastries or schedule a consultation for wedding cakes and your event’s dessert needs. 


Sconset Cafe Nantucket

Sconset Cafe  |  8 Main St, Siasconset

Opened July 7, Chef Colin Bixby has returned to the island to lead Sconset Cafe. Continuing the restaurant’s 40-year run since 1983, Bixby is upholding the legacy of the cafe. Customers can enjoy delicious cuisine and a cozy atmosphere upon entering.  


Straight Wharf Fish Store

Straight Wharf Fish Store  |  4 Harbor Square, Straight Wharf

The Straight Wharf Fish Store has plans to return this year as owners Gabriel Frasca and Kevin Burleson introduce a 62-seat restaurant, fish market, and ice cream spot back to the wharf. They will offer a family-friendly menu (with take-out available), a full-service seafood market, and soft-serve ice cream. Serving walk-ins only with an online waitlist, no reservations will be necessary.


Surfside Taco Stand (Think Millie’s Downtown)   |  2 Broad St

New to the Strip in the previous location of Easy Street Cantina and Tacos Tacos, Millie’s has officially opened their newest restaurant, Surfside Taco Stand. Customers can enjoy healthy breakfast options, great late-night offerings and lunch & dinner menus 7-days a week. 


Scooters  |  10 Broad St

Scooters Nantucket

This summer, Scooters has replaced Nativ Made’s location, also on the Strip. Scooters offers healthy fast-food bowl options led by the team behind Stubbys. Proteins and veggies are common bowl offerings as well as Acai bowls.


PiknACK  |  Food Delivery Service

PiknACK, a local food delivery service, has just launched! Currently partnering with 45 Surfside–and soon expanding–PiknACK has no delivery fee and can deliver everywhere on island. For those who dread spending time in traffic or in lines, PiknACK is a fantastic service. Enjoy time with friends and family on the beach or out in the moors on a walk as you have a fresh sandwich, chips, cookie, and beverage hand-delivered right to you. PiknACK is the convenient, delicious, and healthy solution to island food delivery.

Beau & Ro

Beau and Ro  |  4 Federal St

Beau and Ro offers upbeat and easy dressing for island wear. Find apparel and bags featuring unique designs created by Beau and Ro’s fair trade factory, Olive Workshop. Also discover new brands curated by owner Sara, a Delhi native, who works to increase transparency and fairness in India’s production processes.


Calista West

Step into Calista West’s new location just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Fisher office. Here, find stunning custom-made jewelry from necklaces to engagement rings and wedding bands. Calista offers a highly-personalized experience as a private jeweler, and her expertise is clearly represented in her unique work. For Now Chappywrap

This summer, the Nantucket Tackle Center has opened a second location on Old South Wharf. Right across from Slip 14, customers can find a sample of their collection offered at their Sparks Ave location. This location will serve a whole group of anglers who don’t have easy access to purchase tackle mid island. Congrats to Matt Reinemo and team!

ACKnots is art work with nautical knots that represents love and blending of 2 families into 1. The art has been so successful that they opened a line of 100% recycled line nautical bracelets and will be expanding their love of nautical knots to other products in the coming year.

From August 15-18, Faraway Hotels’ Nantucket location will host a pop-up with Sam Edelman. The space will offer fun events and opportunities to try on a range of fantastic shoes and accessories.
