Pickleball Anyone?

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the world right now, so it’s no surprise that it’s been a huge hit on Nantucket (pun intended). There are several courts on-island, but the only courts open to the public are at the Nantucket Racquet Sports Association (NRSA) at 82 Hinsdale Road, not far from the airport.

The NRSA boasts four brand-new pickleball courts and four platform tennis courts–all equipped with lights so you can play well past sunset (which will come in handy when the sun sets earlier in the winter). There is also a hut on campus with two restrooms, a kitchen, and a lounge complete with a working fireplace.

NRSA is open to the public and the drop-in/guest fee is $10/person. You also have the option of joining the association for a $336 annual fee (first family member) and $175 (second member). Joining gives you the eligibility to book courts online or via the app. Membership is required if you’d like to compete in club tournaments.

Bring your “A-game” along with your racquet next time you’re on the island. We hope to see you on court!
