“The Nantucket real estate market started off with a bang by way of the $26M sale of 5 Grant Avenue. This mega high-end sale boosted the market above $100M for the month, which was a common monthly occurrence in 2021 & 2022 but proved to be more elusive in 1Q2023. Overall transaction volume, however, was on par with the reduced activity we saw in 2023 relative to the prior two years. New purchase contracts held steady with December and the market overall seemed a bit more ‘peppy’ in recent weeks so we will see if that translates into transaction activity during February and March.” Jennifer Shalley Allen
