The Nantucket Dance Festival will be held this summer July 7-12, 2025. This is the third year the Festival will be held as a fundraiser for local nonprofit the Nantucket Dance Theater, and the 18th year for the Festival as it previously was held as a fundraiser for the Nantucket Atheneum.

The Nantucket Dance Theater uses funds raised to bring dance to the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club and opportunities to those pursuing dance on the island.

Since 2023, the Nantucket Dance Festival has focused on connecting with the community, offering two full days of free dance and workout classes for the island youth (some open to all ages). 

They highlight the different dance styles, including tap, ballet, African dance, Irish dance, ballroom, Jookin’ and modern. They have professional dancers join from all over the world for their final benefit performance on July 12, 2025, and events at the Nantucket Dreamland and another social dance night for all ages.
