Lara Hanson

With firm roots and a long line of historic Nantucket families in her genes, Lara’s knowledge and understanding of the island are vast. As an 8th generation Nantucketer, she grew up with a love for nature and for the unique and tenaciously caring community that exists here. Lara currently serves on the Board of Directors of Palliative And Supportive Care Of Nantucket, an organization her family has been involved with since the inception of the Marla Ceely Lamb Fund.

Along with her years of real estate experience and knowledge of the island, Lara brings forth a unique set of skills from her previous career in aviation. Beginning with the airlines and ultimately working in airport management and operations and as an aircraft rescue firefighter, Lara thrives when working as part of a dynamic team and prides herself in finding solutions to even the most challenging problems.

Always looking to maintain a high standard of knowledge, Lara sits on two committees with the Nantucket Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB): the Education Committee and the Listing Service Oversight Committee.
