“Preliminary September sales data indicates there were 77 transactions totaling $277 million, an impressive figure by any normal measure but a decline of 32 percent and 22 percent respectively from a record setting September 2021.  Transactions ranged from a $532,000 land sale along Airport Road to two $16.25M transactions for a residential condominium on Easton Street, formerly the Breakers Hotel. The average home sale price for the month was $3.5 million, largely influenced by four transactions above $10 million, including the sale of 24 & 26 Old North Wharf.  The volume of sales transactions doubled from August, capping off a solid third quarter. New purchase activity remained vibrant but slowed from August figures while new inventory remained steady at nearly 50 properties for the month.
