Downtown + Mid Island Nantucket Ice Cream Shops

Juice Bar – 12 Broad Street, Downtown

@nantucketjuicebar Open: 10am – 11pm, 7 days a week

A Nantucket ice cream staple and the reason for that delicious waffle cone smell on Broad Street, Juice Bar should be one of your stops while on island. The line may be intimidating, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Enjoy all homemade ice cream, juices and smoothies. You’ll need to wait in line just to decide which flavor to get. Be sure to check their board for daily specials and vegan options.

Jack + Charlie’s – 10 Straight Wharf, Downtown

@jackandcharliesicecream Open: 10am – 10pm, 7 days a week  

Relatively new to the island and named after island natives Jack (19 years old) and Charlie (18 years old), this spot does not disappoint. Jack and Charlie’s ice cream offers incredible homemade ice cream, sundaes, sorbet, frozen yogurt and so much more. They accept credit cards, offer doggie cones and have a cute patio to enjoy those Nantucket summer nights.

Ice – 21 Old South Wharf, Downtown

@icenantucket Open: 11am – 11pm, 7 days a week

Nantucket’s only Italian ice store, Ice makes everything daily and has some incredible flavors. It’s the perfect way to cool down after a day at the beach. Be sure to check out their weekly specials.

Nantucket Pharmacy – 45 Main Street, Downtown

#nantucketpharmacy Open: 8am – 6pm, 7 days a week

Somewhat of a hidden gem on island, Nantucket Pharmacy is an old-school 1929 soda shop that serves homemade ice cream, frappes and sandwiches. The milkshakes are some of the best and a root beer float is always a good idea.

Island Kitchen – 2 Chins Way, Mid-Island

@iknantucket Open: 10am – 10pm, 7 days a week

Also new to the Nantucket ice cream scene recently, Island Kitchen serves homemade ice cream. Located just across from Stop & Shop this is the perfect place to get away from the Downtown crowds and enjoy their unique flavors in this beautifully renovated space. Bonus: they have parking, offer vegan options and accept credit cards.

The Hub – 31 Main Street, Downtown

@thehubofnantucket Open: 7am – 8pm, 7 days a week

This shop earns its name for being smack dab in the middle of Town and has some of the best flavors on island. They serve Four Seas ice cream, smoothies, frozen drinks, and so much more. Be sure to try their signature “Cobblestone” flavor!

Outside of Town Nantucket Ice Cream Shops

Yummy – 63 Surfside Road, Surfside

@yummynantucket Open: 7am – 8:30pm Monday – Saturday & 7:30am – 4pm Sunday

Yummy is a small take-out café located right on the Surfside bike path. Offering a variety of flavors that change daily to milkshakes and acai bowls, there’s something for everyone here. Yummy accepts credit cards and has a large front yard with picnic tables and beach chairs.  

’Sconset Market – 4 Main Street, ’Sconset

@thesconsetmarket Open: 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week

In the heart of ’Sconset Village you’ll find the market with an assortment of fancy groceries, produce, deli snacks and most importantly, their ice cream counter. With classic flavors, toppings and cones this is a must when you’re on the east side.

Millie’s Market – 324 Madaket Road, Madaket

@milliesmarketack Open: 7am – 9:30pm, 7 days a week

Out in the West End but need a sugar fix? Millie’s Market has you covered. They offer a variety of flavors, toppings, milkshakes or fruit smoothies. The market accepts credit cards and has everything you need to curb your cravings. Plus, nothing goes better with a sunset than a couple scoops of mint chocolate chip.

Nantucket Ice Cream

Bartlett’s Farm – 33 Bartlett Farm Road, Cisco

@bartlettsfarm Open: 11am – 7pm, 7 days a week

Bartlett’s Farm officially has an ice cream stand! Located just outside the market near the playground, this stand has quickly become a favorite place for pre or post beach time. Not only do they have great flavors, but they also offer farm-made toppings, banana splits, assorted sundaes and watermelon frappes.
