cory silken photographerCory Silken is one of the world’s preeminent yachting photographers. From his Gallery in Newport, Cory travels the globe on assignment for some of the top superyacht shipyards and regatta sponsors, and accepts private book commissions from many discerning superyacht owners. His poster editions are distributed worldwide through vendors such as art.com and Ikea, and have appeared as set dressings on numerous TV shows and movies. He is honored as the 11th Hour Racing Visual Ambassador, promoting environmental sustainability through yachting. He can be found racing S Class Firefly in New England throughout the summer.

Cory says, “Here’s a selection of images from this year’s Opera House Cup. It was pretty wet and wild with big breeze this year. The sky was a bit gray, but it still made for some exciting images! It was great to see Gary Jobson at the helm of American Eagle, and certainly the 140’ schooner Columbia was a spectacular sight.”

Cory has been photographing the Opera House Cup on Nantucket since 1999. He was originally aboard the 12 Metre Heritage and now photographs the regatta for the title sponsor, Panerai.
