Pip Stop
22 Federal Street
Pip & Anchor is launching their summer “Pip Stop” pop-up at 22 Federal Street, right above the Corner Table Café. This new downtown venture will operate in partnership with the Nantucket Culinary Center and is dedicated to fostering a sustainable, community-driven food system on the island.
Pip & Anchor, known for their mission to “Build a healthy community by reconnecting people to local food and goods,” continues this vision by collaborating with Andrea and Taylor of Ventuno, Via Mare, Corner Table, and Gemelle. Together, they aim to showcase the best of local ingredients and exceptional hospitality.
The “Pip Stop” pop-up will feature:
- Local Goods: Fresh produce, dairy, eggs, pantry staples, beverages, sweets, and more. Think of it as a locally-driven bodega in downtown Nantucket.
- Prepared Foods and Coffee: Stop by the Corner Table Café downstairs for delicious prepared foods and beverages made by their talented team.
- Cooking Classes and Events: Chef and teacher Jason Smith will host cooking classes on the top floor, highlighting the art of buying, cooking, and eating locally.
Billie’s Nantucket
20 Broad Street
Targeting a late June opening, Billie’s Nantucket is reimagining the classic steakhouse experience. In the iconic space that once housed the beloved Dune Restaurant, Billie’s brings bold energy to dining on Nantucket.
Executive Chef Stevie Rhee who is known for his expertise in culinary innovation, has brought his talents from the kitchens of LA, Las Vegas, and Miami to Nantucket. His impressive resume includes leading establishments like N9NE, Estiatorio Milos, Terrazza at the Shore Club, and Kiki on the River.
Billie’s menu includes main-event steaks, generous portions and show-stopping table-side preparations. Indulge in juicy burgers, an exquisite raw bar, and specialty martinis made to pair perfectly with the menu.

Easy Street Restaurant
31 Easy Street
Hop off the Steamship Authority, take a few steps toward town, and make Easy Street Restaurant your first stop. This spring, the restaurant opened with 27 tables and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a full liquor license. Enjoy pancakes for breakfast, muscles for lunch, and a sushi boat for dinner! Reservations can be made on Open Table. Owner Milan Basnet has brought together a great team in their bright space, and we wish them the best of luck!
The Hive

The Hive is a culinary hub in the former Keeper’s Restaurant space, brought to life by Remain. The Hive’s mission is simple but impactful—to foster a vibrant local food system that strengthens our community’s economy while supporting innovative food entrepreneurs, local farmers, and regenerative agriculture practices.

Slow to Rise Bakery
1 Cherry Street
As you may have seen, Slow to Rise Bakery was set to open its first physical location this past week, but its opening was delayed after a fire took over its space. They are working to remediate and will open sometime this summer. In the meantime, you can continue shopping at Sustainable Nantucket’s Saturday market downtown, behind Fisher Real Estate. The Nantucket community must come together to support them. There is a GoFundMe campaign to support their financial losses. Although 1 Cherry Street will be their new retail store, their commercial kitchen is based off-site, so they’ll continue to serve the community just as they have for the past year at the Saturday market, and possibly with online ordering for delivery.

Birdie by Nina Liddle Design is a new boutique thoughtfully curated with their favorite furniture, gifts, clothing, and accessories. Inspired by their travels and tastes, everything they carry at Birdie is chosen with love to help you create and build your dream space and lifestyle. Items include decor, table wear, skincare, clothing, coffee table books, and more. You can visit 7 days a week, 9:30am to 5pm!
Cara Norman
12A Oak Street
Located at 12A Oak Street, Cara Norman is a boutique inspired by years of retail experience, a passion for timeless fashion, and a deep connection to the Nantucket community. Founded to fill a need for a store that balances elegance, quality, and comfort, Cara Norman offers designs that cater to Nantucket’s unique lifestyle for both men and women. Brands include Lem Lem, Rhône, Stillwater, Rowan, Madeleine Thompson, Sleeper, and Left on Friday.
Cara first came to Nantucket in 2003 and began spending summers on the island at the age of 19. Drawn to Nantucket’s charm and beauty, it became clear that this was the place to build a life. After more than 20 years as a full-time resident, Cara has embraced the island as home, raising a family here and establishing Cara Norman as a reflection of the vibrant, unique Nantucket community. Stay tuned for their opening!
The Soda Fountain at the Pharmacy

The Soda Fountain at Nantucket Pharmacy is a cherished throwback, rooted in nostalgia with origins dating back to its establishment in 1929. Nestled right inside the pharmacy at 45 Main Street, this classic lunch counter features a long Formica-topped bar with chrome stools upholstered in turquoise vinyl—evoking the golden era of drugstore soda shops.
Visitors can enjoy a laid-back, retro experience with offerings like ice cream soda, coffee, bagels, dirty water dogs, tuna melts, homemade sandwiches (like the original chopped ham and pickle sandwich), and soups in the winter. They are going to do their best to be open year-round—everyday—it remains a beloved gathering spot for both locals and tourists, blending Main Street charm with timeless taste.
The Beachside Hotel
30 North Beach Street
The newly reopened Beachside Hotel by Blue Flag Development blends mid‑century charm with modern amenities, featuring warm terracotta and cream tones, hand‑cut marble mosaic floors, and custom lighting throughout. Nestled just steps from downtown and a short walk to Jetties Beach, the 3.5‑acre resort offers a revamped pool courtyard, Barnaby Kids Club, arcade game room, gym, and complimentary bikes for leisurely island exploration.
BeachKrew
33 Main Street – Lower Level
With locations in Sullivans Island, South Carolina, and Avalon, New Jersey, BeachKrew has now opened its latest store on Main Street in Nantucket. The new location, situated on the lower level with entry through the green doors facing Federal Street, welcomes visitors daily from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Inspired by the timeless charm of East Coast living, BeachKrew represents more than just clothing; it’s a connection to cherished memories.
The Nantucket Inn
1 Miller Lane
The renovated Nantucket Inn has two exciting new amenities that are open to the public. The Nobadeer Cafe is open 7am through 3pm and is conventient to pick up a quick breakfast to-go if you are out by the airport. They are also opening up their indoor swimming pool to the public. The day pass rate is $20 per person, or you can purchase a 10 day pool pack punch card for $160. The indoor pool is a great option for a rainy day activity when you can’t make it to the beach and your rental does not have a swimming pool.
Commonwealth and Mór Wine
16 Federal Street
Commonwealth, a luxury resale boutique, first opened its doors at 12A Oak Street and has moved to 16 Federal Street in the space occupied by Atlantic Nantucket. You will find an awesome selection of locally made jewelry and accessories. If you have pieces you’d like to contribute, just stop by during their resale hours to have them assessed. Their shop is also available online! Open daily from 10am – 5pm.
Commonwealth is partnering up with Oran Mor Bistro to bring you Mor Wine. They will sell wine, spirits, and “mor”!
Sip, shop and celebrate their grand opening Friday, May 23rd. They will be pouring champagne from 4-7pm!
DÔEN
32 Main Street
We’re thrilled to share that DÔEN has officially arrived in Nantucket! Nestled at 32 Main Street (formerly The Black Dog store), their new location celebrates womanhood with timeless, vintage-inspired designs that evoke the coastal California spirit.
Starting this weekend, they will be open every day from 10 AM to 6 PM, with extended weekend hours on the horizon. From dreamy dresses to serene knits, stop by to explore pieces thoughtfully curated to bring elegance and nostalgia to your wardrobe.

Founded by Taylor Ivey in 2012, the brand’s origins hold a special connection. Taylor created the iconic Nantucket sweater as a heartfelt tribute to her grandmother, Shirley Ellsworth, celebrating their cherished memories on the island. The company has since grown, offering everyday knitwear for women and children, available online, through their custom knit wholesale program, and at Skinny Dip.
This spring, Ellsworth and Ivey is serving up fresh, sporty vibes with their new collection featuring tennis, pickleball, and golf-themed sweaters! Hothaus

Looking for a perfect blend of fitness and community? Meet Hothaus, Nantucket’s newest wellness destination, right in the heart of downtown at 53 Main Street. Offering infrared-heated yoga, Pilates, and strength classes, Hothaus transforms traditional fitness into an energizing experience that combines heat, music, movement, and breath.
They have seven class descriptions on their website and include classes like Hot Yoga Sculpt and Sound Bath and Meditation. Nantucket Event Company, formed by merging Nantucket Tents, Placesetters and Soiree Floral, has officially launched! Their end-to-end rental offerings now range from tenting and flooring to décor and floral design.
Visit them at their newly renovated showroom at 28 Centre Street to peruse their extensive inventory, design custom tablescapes, floral arrangements, and confidently select all details for your next special occasion.
ECD Automotive
10 Easy Street
ECD Automotive Design is the world’s largest Land Rover and Jaguar restoration company known for its custom luxury builds, including bespoke Defenders, Range Rovers, Jaguar E-Types and Ford Mustangs. Their concept showroom at 10 Easy Street is a showhouse and gathering space to share their one-of-one vehicles. Test drives are available!
The Black Dog General Store

The Black Dog store has moved from Main Street to 40 Straightwharf, where Native Shoes formerly was. Native Shoes has not moved to another location.
Foggy’s Puck Cafe
Nantucket Ice, 10 Backus Lane
Established in 2019, Foggy has been serving up great Pizza and BBQ on Nantucket. After a brief pause for 2024, they are excited to re-open at Nantucket Ice located mid island on Backus Ln as Foggy’s Puck Cafe! Their mission remains the same and is pretty simple ~ “We want to serve amazing food for you to create fun times and lasting memories”.
Artists Association of Nantucket Gallery
8 Federal Street
The Artists Association of Nantucket has moved from 19 Washington Street to 8 Federal Street and continues their mission of sustaining and enriching the visual arts on Nantucket. Their newest downtown gallery will host a year-round schedule of changing member shows, featured artist exhibitions, artist demonstrations, lectures, and special events. Join them throughout the season and support their fundraising goal.
Their Visual Arts Center and Champion Gallery at 24 Amelia Drive, as well as the Big Gallery at 12 Straight Wharf, remain open! Gallery Hours: Everyday, 10am–5pm
Cymbals Cafe at Faraway Hotel
29 Centre Street
Faraway Hotel is filling the donut shaped hole in our hearts after Downyflake’s closing. Named after an old New England word for pastry, Cymbals opened Daffodil weekend with fresh house-made donuts and espresso from Brooklyn’s PARTNERS Coffee. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 am to 12pm.
Nantucket Aesthetics

Established in 2016 by island resident Robin Manning and overseen by Dr. Timothy Lepore, Nantucket Aesthetics offers a full range of cosmetic enhancements and age management services, including nutrition and healthy transformation coaching. At 2 Broad Street (the previous space occupied by Kidding Around), Nantucket Crisps has taken the potato chip and elevated it so much more. The Nantucket-based brand is opening up their on-island HQ this season and we have loved watching their evolution! Take a “dip” inside to secure the ideal picnic lunch (caviar or bluefish pate, anyone?), pick up some Crisps branded gear, and try one of their newest flavors, Hummock Hot Honey.
