This new venture for the Nantucket Book Foundation was made possible with a grant and support from the Nantucket Cultural District and additional support from Barbara Tibbetts of The Look Book Nantucket.
“Events such as this Children’s Book Day create lifelong readers and perhaps the next generation of writers and it so perfectly and magically aligns with our mission and story!” says President of the Nantucket Book Foundation, Tim Ehrenberg. “Our thanks goes out to Board Member Shantaw Bloise-Murphy for her passion and work on this event.”
“Children’s Book Day was born from the recognition of how important it is to engage our little ones at the start of their literacy journey to develop a love for the written word,” says Shantaw. “It is an honor for the Nantucket Cultural District to partner with Nantucket Book Foundation to host, what we hope will be, an impactful event.”
