Just between Jetties and Dionis is Steps Beach, an idyllic Nantucket beach with calmer waters than many of Nantucket's south shore beaches. Earning its name from the steep steps that descend to and from the sand, Steps Beach offers sweeping views of the sound and Great Point. Gentle surf and a sandbar make this a great beach to escape for a few hours.
