Celebrate Late Summer at the Sustainable Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market

As we savor the final notes of summer, there’s no better way to celebrate September than at the Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market. The market does run until October 11, weather permiting, so if you can’t attend this weekend, there are six more before the official last market until next year.

On Saturday, August 30, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, the market will be buzzing with fresh produce, handmade goods, local art, and community spirit. To mark the occasion, the Knights of Columbus will be joining the fun—grilling and frying up tasty treats like pupusas, burgers, and classic fair-style fried dough.

Fresh from the Farms

If you’re craving something lighter, the island’s farms will be offering up the very best of late-summer harvest:

  • Fog Town Farm – Sweet, refreshing watermelon

  • Eat Fire Farm – Juicy, just-picked blackberries

  • Washashore Farm – Multicolored cherry tomatoes bursting with flavor

  • Florabundant – Seasonal blooms to brighten your home

Local Makers & Artisans

The market will also be packed with an incredible lineup of artists, craftspeople, and food vendors. From ceramics to textiles, fine art photography to jewelry, here’s just a small sampling of what you’ll find:

  • Ack Pastry Shack & Slow to Rise Bakery – Delicious baked goods

  • Noemi’s Dumpling & Ellie O’s Ice Cream – Market favorites

  • Grey Lady Apiary – Local honey

  • Katie Castle Ceramics, Petrova Ceramics, Nantucket Pottery – Beautiful handmade pieces

  • Isobel & Cleo, Island Weaves, Sheri’s Knits – Textiles and fiber arts

  • Barrie Prints, Bonelli Fish Print, Willy LeMay Photography – Island-inspired artwork

  • Plus dozens of jewelers, designers, and makers bringing unique Nantucket style to the market.
