From town to shore, the holiday weekend was the perfect snapshot of summer on ACK. Main Street buzzed with energy Friday morning, where the traditional water fight gave way to a “touch a truck” event this year—a thoughtful pivot due to ongoing drought conditions. Over at Children’s Beach, the festivities continued with Nanpuppets, Sack Races, and face painting for the kids. At the same time, an older generation maxed out beach parking capacity at Nobadeer early in the morning. And somehow Bill Hoenk was there to capture it all.
