Halloween on Main Street is always one of the most beloved fall traditions on Nantucket — and this year’s celebration was no exception! On Friday afternoon, families, friends, and plenty of costumed islanders filled Main Street for an evening of laughter, creativity, and community spirit to collect candy from the businesses that line the Street, including Fisher Real Estate!
The Nantucket Fire Department kicked things off in festive fashion, handing out candy straight from their fire trucks — a highlight for kids and parents alike. From Happy Gilmore and Rumi from KPop Demon Hunters, to Chicken Jockey from Minecraft and Labubus, dozens of families joined the annual costume parade, proudly making their way up Main Street behind the Town Crier, whose ringing bell led the charge with classic island flair.
The pumpkin decorating contest added another layer of fun, showcasing the artistic talent of islanders young and old. The creativity on display was impressive — from intricately carved jack-o’-lanterns to clever painted designs that perfectly captured the spirit of the season.
Halloween on Main Street is a reminder of what makes Nantucket so special: a close-knit community that knows how to celebrate together. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped keep this island tradition alive. We’re already counting down the days until next year’s festivities!
