Since 1997, the Boston Pops on Nantucket has been the island’s largest fundraiser, bringing together thousands of community members for a night of unparalleled entertainment. in 2023, 2.6 million dollars was raised to support the Nantucket Cottage Hospital.
This year’s concert featured Conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops on Tour, who were be joined by Tony Award- and Grammy Award-nominated artist Michael Cavanaugh, performing the music of Elton John and more. David Gregory was the host the hospital’s annual fundraiser, Greta Feeney performed the National Anthem, and John Shea hosted pre-show interviews. Fireworks capped off this year’s show, with a display launching from an offshore barge during the orchestra’s rendition of the 1812 Overture at approximately 9:00 p.m.
