The countdown to summer has begun and it’s time to think about booking your trip. This includes those hard to get Nantucket ferry reservations! Read below to see exactly what is required to line up your summer vacation to Nantucket Island.
You may be asking. ” Do I need to know my exact travel dates and when exactly I want the car to come across to the rock, sandbar and island that we know as Nantucket?” Planners rejoice, because it means exactly that. See the very subtle text from the Steamship Authority’s website:
“Mark these dates on your calendar, so you can begin planning your trip to Nantucket as soon as possible. We look forward to having you travel with us.”
If you are traveling to Nantucket this summer:
Beginning January 12th go online to the Steamship Authority, to make 5 one-way or round trip reservations for travel May 16th through October 15th, 2017.
Beginning January 19th go online to the Steamship Authority to make 5 one-way or round trip reservations. You can do this online and in person.
Other Helpful info from the Steamship Authority:
To book passage for your vehicle, payment must be made at the time of your reservation. Online reservations must be paid for at the time of booking. For telephone or in-person reservations, payment must be made within 5 days of booking. If made less than 5 days before your travel date, payment is due the day before you travel. We accept cash, check, Steamship Authority gift card, American Express, MasterCard, Visa or Discover credit cards for advance reservations. Service fees are assessed for returned checks.
