Well, it’s official, the Nantucket real estate market surpassed $1 billion in total sales volume. Preliminary figures through November 30, 2018 include 415 property transactions totaling $1.049B. Second to 2005, this is the only other time that Nantucket real estate sales have hit this mark by the end of November.
Following on the heels of an exceptional October (see our monthly report), November sales included 49 property transactions totaling $153 million. Transactions were led by the $25 million sale of 262 Polpis Road, now the highest sale of the year after the record was set last month with the $19.58 million of 77 Eel Point Road. Fisher Real Estate represented both transactions. There were two other ultra-high-end, waterfront sales which buoyed dollar volume, as well as an $11 million sale of a 2+ acre parcel of land next to the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club.
