Race for Open Space 2025: A Nantucket Tradition Rooted in Conservation
Every summer, the Nantucket Conservation Foundation (NCF) brings the island community together for a meaningful—and energetic—cause: the Race for Open Space. As the annual event approaches on Saturday, June 28, 2025, eager participants can choose to tackle a 5K, 10K, or enjoy a scenic 2-mile walk through the Milestone Cranberry Bog, a protected haven maintained by NCF. Event Highlights

Three Distances:
A 10K that kicks off first at 8:00 AM, followed by the 2-mile walk at 8:05 AM, and the 5K at 8:10 AM. Ideal for serious runners and casual supporters alike. -
Race Logistics:

Friday, June 27: Bib pickup at 118 Cliff Road from 9 AM–3 PM.

Race Day (June 28): Registration and bib pickup from 7–8 AM. Events start promptly thereafter
