Nantucket Christmas Stroll 2019

Stories

Around The Office

This year, Nantucket Christmas Stroll will be held on December 6th-8th, 2019.

Annual Christmas Stroll Weekend Hosted by the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce

This year, Nantucket will ring in the holiday season during the first weekend in December. The Nantucket Chamber of Commerce will again host this incredible weekend filled with merriment and cheer. Shops and restaurants open their doors covered in wreaths and tinsel and visitors arrive in droves on the ferries donning their Christmas best- and silliest! Fisher is available to help you with your rental needs if you are looking for a more intimate experience with your group or family.

Fisher Tips for Christmas Stroll

  1. After making your travel plans, call up your favorite restaurants to make dinner reservations – many are already taking them months in advance.
  2. Consider attending the Festival of Trees Preview Party on Friday night, or visit for free during the remainder of the weekend. Tickets always sell out for this event that shows off the creativity of Nantucket’s Islanders.
  3. Bring layers. In years past, the weather has been rainy and cold requiring raincoats and winter coats over Christmas-themed outfits.
  4. Bring your Christmas List. In addition to the Craft Fair on Center Street and the Marketplace in the Stop & Shop parking lot, other shops have heavily discounted sales (think 50-75% off of summer inventory). There is also a great selection of holiday gift items including ornaments, soaps, carved whales, sweaters, candles, and more!
  5. Pick up a Stroll-themed piece of clothing, like the popular over-sized scarfs at the Nantucket Boat Basin on Straight Wharf or the Chamber at Zero Main Street that sell out every year.
