The Nantucket Conservation Foundation will be hosting a virtual fundraiser, the “Cycle for Open Space” over Columbus Day weekend, October 9-12th, 2020.
It’s the first virtual bike ride for the Nantucket Conservation Foundation. You can select one of the following: 5-mile, 10-mile, or a 20-mile stretch, which can be completed anywhere in the world. Click on the following link to sign up.
What is a Virtual Race?
A Virtual Race allows you to run the race at any time during the allotted time frame, and on any course of your choosing, either here on Nantucket or wherever you may be.
Where can I ride?
You can run any course of your choosing, but if you need some ideas the NCF will have some loops on Foundation property available soon on their mobile app, ACKTrails. ACKTrails is FREE and available in the App Store and Google Play. You can also view their complete property map below.
How will I be timed?
You can use a mobile app of your choosing. Some popular apps include Strava, Mapmyrun, Runkeeper, and others. Once you have completed the race, follow the link with your registration and enter in your time, and upload a screenshot of your time. Results will be posted after the race window has closed. We will send you instructions on how to upload your results before race window opens.
If you can’t get out on the road, trails, or on your stationary bike, please consider becoming a member of the Nantucket Conservation Foundation.
