Charity Grace Mofsen

Charity-Grace MofsenCharity Grace Mofsen is a masterful storyteller with a fiery passion for Nantucket. Raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Charity Grace first fell in love with the island during a visit in 2015. The pullback to sea was so strong that within just a few months, she returned for good with her husband Michael, working as the Associate Director of Operations for the Museum of African American History. A longtime musician, writer, and public speaker, it wasn’t until Charity Grace became a year-round islander inspired by the natural beauty of the Grey Lady that she was able to hone her artistic craft as a photographer. After launching her own independent creative consulting practice in the fall of 2018, Charity Grace is now thrilled to offer photography in the suite of story-centric services she provides.

“Having a camera forces me to keep my eyes open, looking for beauty everywhere. Nantucket is my home and I never want to lose the wonder and love I have for this magical island. As I see that magic that makes me smile, I’ll share it. Perhaps it’ll make others smile too. The Nature of life is to grow, and that is what I aspire to do every day with my photography, in my relationships, and together with my community. I hope others will join me.”

An avid community leader, Charity Grace currently serves on the board of The Nantucket Lighthouse School and Nantucket’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund. You can read more of her story and view her recent work at charity-grace.com.
