The Juice Bar Homemade Ice Cream

Downtown

Always lively in July and August. Expect a wait if reservations aren’t available.

***Juice Bar – Long lines for ice cream, but the wait is worth it.

Lobster Trap – New England-style seafood in town with an outdoor patio. Reservations are taken for parties greater than six.

The Tavern & Gazebo Bar– Casual patio, great for people watching and there is a dish for everyone.

Brotherhood of Thieves – Hearty pub fare. We recommend sitting upstairs or outside with kids.

Slip 14 – Charming spot right near the harbor with great food and a lively patio, especially late at night. 

Oath Pizza – Fast pizza to go or eat at their limited tables on the dock next to the Hy-Line ferry.

B-ACK Yard BBQ – Close to Straight Wharf, this bbq restaurant is a fun place to watch the game.

Or, The Whale – American style bistro, bar and patio, right on Main Street.

“The Strip” – Between the Steamship Authority Ferry and the Juice Bar, you’ll find many fast-food options.

Charlie Noble – Family-friendly seafood with plenty of seating.

***Pizzeria Gemelle – Creative house-made pizza, gelato and charcuterie.

***Gaslight – Live music venue, restaurant and bar.

Mid-Island

Often a shorter wait and easier parking than downtown if you are in a rush.

LOLA Burger – Great burgers, milkshakes and fries at the mid-island rotary.

***Island Kitchen – Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a family-friendly menu and fresh, healthy food options.

***Pi Pizzeria – Great thin crust pizza and Italian food with cozy ambiance.

Fusaro’s – Kid-friendly Italian food.

Kitty Murtagh’s – Casual Irish pub with quick service.

Sophie T’s Pizza – Easy place to take-out pizza loved by kids across the island.

Boat House – Including tacos, burritos, burgers and more. 

Faregrounds – Local pub with a patio and large restaurant.

***Keeper’s – Casual comfort food on Amelia Drive. Take-out, spacious patio and serves breakfast.

45 Surfside – Great for breakfast and lunch takeout and amazing cakes for celebrations.

Outside of Town

***Millie’s – Baja-style seafood in Madaket with beautiful sunsets.

Cisco Brewery Food Trucks –  Options include Millie’s, Lobster Trap, and more.

Brant Point Grill at the White Elephant – Just outside of town. Sunday Brunch features a special Kids’ Corner. Large restaurant with harbor views. Takes reservations.

Breeze Restaurant – At the Nantucket Hotel just outside town. Takes reservations.

Sandbar at Jetties – Can’t beat the view or the option to have your toes in the sand while you eat and the kids play!

Claudette’s – Sandwich shop in Siasconset with a cozy outdoor patio.  Or take your sandwich down to the beach.

‘Sconset Market – Ice cream, bakery, deli meats and fancy groceries.

Miacomet Golf Course– This public course also has a great restaurant with easy options for families.

Sayle’s – Excellent seafood take-out with huge portions and unbeatable lobster dinner.

Thai House – Thai take-out by the airport with a large menu.

Saltbox Tavern & Table – Casual dining by the airport with a new patio bar and raw bar.

The Surf at Surfside Beach – Fast breakfast sandwiches and grilled items. Place your order from your chair on the beach. 😉

Breakfast and Lunch

***Something Natural – Amazing sandwiches and cookies, take it to the beach or dine at their picnic tables.

Downyflake Diner– A Nantucket tradition. Diner with not-to-miss doughnuts. Mid-island location with a take-out entrance.

***Black-Eyed Susan’s – Cozy breakfast spot with long lines and unique menu. Downtown.

Crosswinds – Located at the Nantucket Airport, with fast service and lots of tables.

The Green – Take-out breakfast and lunch with healthy options, including vegan options. Limited outside seating. Mid-island.

***Provisions – Another fabulous sandwich shop downtown.  Limited seating but there are plenty of benches in the area.

Nantucket Bake Shop – Great donuts and other baked goods.

Wicked Island – Don’t leave Nantucket without trying their famous Morning Bun!

Nantucket Meat & Fish Market – Homemade bagels and pre-marinated food for grilling.

Bartlett’s Farm – Besides their deli, they also have prepared foods and a large market.

***FRESH – Make your own salads and sandwiches with wine and beer for the beach or boat.
